The City of Maricopa and Police Department was a new construction project completely built from the ground up. AVR was selected because of its previous experiences with similar projects with other city halls throughout Arizona. The council chamber had a complete broadcast studio within the same room that offered live streaming to cable station 20 (local channel). This allowed the people of Maricopa the opportunity to find out what's going on with their local government. Live coverage of Maricopa City Council Meetings broadcasts the first and third Tuesday of each month. The room was also was outfitted with overhead document cameras, projection screens, security camera, activesteerable Line-Array column speakers, custom dais, microphones, control lighting, and video conferencing capabilities. Each council member had their own Crestron control panel.
Other rooms within the city hall building were the board room, multiple meeting spaces and the Maricopa Police Departments training rooms which had video conferencing, projectors, two way communication and two way presentations capabilities.
