Phoenix, Arizona, March 3, 2004: A merger between two well known companies has created an exciting new way to incorporate Professional Audio & Video products together with Security, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Nurse Call and Intercom systems.     Audio Video Resources (AVR) purchased the Arizona location of the Sound & Signal Division of Norstan, and has merged it with their existing Professional Audio & Video division. This transaction allows AVR to deliver a wide range of products and services to new and existing customers, contractors and consultants.

This merger is a combination of two highly skilled teams of Certified Specialists and Engineers, who when operating as one design team, can provide a wide variety of unique solutions not available anywhere else. AVR now has the ability to present end to end solutions to the customer for most low voltage special systems.

"We believe that our ability to clearly communicate and listen to our customers is a key strength that this merger will allow.   Our objective is to continue building long-term relationships with our customers, employees, partners, and vendors by doing business with honesty and integrity.   AVR and the Sound and Signal Division of Norstan, have been recognized as leaders in their respective markets for providing the very best products, service and value to their customers. And we are excited to be identified as a 'single source' provider of technology and special systems,"   commented Bruce Novkov, AVR Director of Sales.

The merger will add approximately 19 employees in Sales, Service and Technical Operations, which will bring AVR's total employee count to 65.

"While some synergies exist between the two companies' business offerings, the acquisition will create new strategic business initiatives for both AVR and Sound & Signal. We believe this new arrangement will be beneficial to all stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers and the marketplace," explained the President & CEO of Norstan, in a letter to their customers.

With this merger, AVR will acquire and continue to service all existing Sound & Signal customers, ensuring a smooth transition for all their customers, and will provide them with the highest quality of products and services.

"This merger provides both companies' customers with greater value through access to synergistic products and services that previously required separate relationships.     AVR's strengths in engineering creative and cost effective pro AV and presentation solutions will now be applied to Fire, Access Control, Security and Intercom applications," said Mark Temen, AVR President & CEO.

Founded in 1947, AVR is a privately held company, headquartered in Phoenix Arizona, and is an audio visual & communication system integration company. AVR designs and installs sound and video systems in Broadcast, Corporate, Education, Entertainment, Religious, Medical and Sport applications throughout the United States.
